Below is a list of upcoming events for the month of March:
Japanese Language Café is a casual get-together session for both the Japanese and foreign residents in Tsubata town, where we share and learn about each others’ stories over simple snacks. The theme for our next café session is “Things I’m Looking Forward To”. The event starts from 2pm and it is going to be held at the Training Room (Kenshuu shitsu) in Cygnus, Tsubata Cultural Hall. Admission is free. Please come down and join us!
Every third Wednesday of each month, we organize a 30 minutes storytelling session at the Tsubata Town Library in Cygnus, Tsubata Cultural Hall. The CIR (Coordinator for International Relations) will introduce foreign folktales in both English and Japanese. The event starts at 4.30pm.
In Chibikko Salon, we organize a 30 minutes session for the parents and small children to interact in English at the Children’s Center in Cygnus, Tsubata Cultural Hall. The event starts from 10.30am.
The speaker for our next lecture is Benjamin Ogawa, whose is Japanese-American. He will give a talk on how gender and labor issues are affecting the ongoing problems of Japan’s low birthrate and aging population. The lecture starts from 2pm and it is going to be held at the Visual and Audio Hall (Shichouukaku Ho-ru) in Cygnus, Tsubata Cultural Hall. Admission is free.
